Biography
Early Life
The artist Erica Di Giacomo was born in Abruzzo (Italy), the 3rd of July 1988.
Having spent the first years of her life in Giulianova, a city of the East Coast in Italy, she moved with her family to the nearby town, Mosciano Sant’ Angelo.
Studies
She started her studies at the Art School “Guido Montauti” of Teramo, where she focused on artistic and anatomical tech then she studied industrial design in Rome and perfected her style, enriching her artistry.
Norway
In 2014, dazzled by the beauty, and moved by the passion for the Country, she relocates in Norway, which soon becomes a source of inspiration and artistic growth of her talent.
In Oslo, she is touched by the works of Edward Munch and she begins the experimentation of a new artistic path.
The artist begins by stripping the bodies, undressing the skin, unveiling the first carnal emotions. Di Giacomo shows “The soul and Essence” of the subjects and translates the feeling through the motions, the colours and the shapes in the subject.
